My professional sweet spot is where investment, entrepreneurship and strategy come together – particularly when the opportunity is not obvious yet and something new needs to be built, transformed or unlocked.
Over almost three decades, I have worked from different sides of the table: venture capital investor, investment executive, entrepreneur, corporate executive, public-sector leader, board chair, venture builder and strategic advisor.
Today, my primary focus is ventures & investments: building businesses and investment propositions, connecting capital with technology and industry, and turning complex transition challenges into investable opportunities.

I work with entrepreneurs, investors, corporates and organisations to build ventures, investment propositions and investment platforms.
My investment journey started in early-stage venture capital at Dexia and LRM and later returned through the development of Tidal, a specialised corporate-backed venture capital proposition for maritime, ports and offshore.
Today, that experience extends into new models connecting corporate demand, technology, venture capital, infrastructure and real assets. I love building corporate backed venture capital platforms

Some opportunities start with an investment thesis. Others start with an organisation, business or industry that needs to change.
I have led and supported transformations in government, energy, maritime, healthcare and corporate environments, ranging from Government agencies, the creation of Maritime Campus Antwerp, real estate teams and large project teams.
I particularly enjoy the point where strategy has to become execution.

I have a weak spot for complex real estate. Not so much for buildings as such, but for assets and locations where complexity, changing needs or unconventional thinking can create value.
My experience includes real estate investment, brownfield redevelopment, public-private partnerships, infrastructure, government portfolios, heritage, corporate real estate and large mixed-use developments. Always with a focus on circularity, the best in sustainability and energy transition.

My career does not fit neatly into one professional box. That has become an advantage.
The opportunities I find most interesting increasingly sit between established investment categories:
- where venture capital meets corporate capital;
- where technology needs infrastructure to scale;
- where an industrial transition requires a new business model;
- where real assets can become platforms for innovation;
- where public and private interests need to be aligned;
- or where an idea is promising, but not a business yet.
